Collective Behavior is the spontaneous, unstructured, and temporary behavior of a group of people in response to the same event, situation, etc.

There are SIX major sub-categories of Collective Behavior (Look Above).

Riots: Mainly a noisy, violent public disorder caused by a group or crowd of persons, as by a crowd protesting against another group, a government policy, etc.,in the streets.

Fads: A temporary fashion, notion, manner of conduct, etc., especially one followed enthusiastically by a group.

Fashion: Style of Clothing that is in style today, and in past era's. Known to be the now "IN" thing to wear or to be like.

Panics: A sudden overwhelming fear, with or without cause, that produces hysterical or irrational behavior, and that often spreads quickly through a group of persons or animals.

Rumors: A story or folklore in which one telling the story is does not have a valid source or valid information, otherwise known as gossip.

Urban Legends: A modern story of obscure origin and with little or no supporting evidence that spreads spontaneously in varying forms and often has elements of humor, moralizing, or horror (For Example: The man with the Iron hook for an arm who broke out of prison and stalks people on old, run down highways).
